5 Common Body Care Mistakes That Are Hurting Your Progress
You may have good products, spend hours on your routine and still no results. Why are you not seeing results?…
You may have good products, spend hours on your routine and still no results. Why are you not seeing results? This is where little mistakes in body care can undo all your efforts.
And here is the worst, a lot of these are unnoticed by us. We can do away with this now.
- Over Exfoliating
Exfoliation is good but it’s good only in a balanced amount. When you are exfoliating too much (scrubbing a lot and using harsh exfoliators) you are damaging the skin barrier and making your skin dry and itchy or sometimes even getting zits instead of nice smooth skin.
What you should do?
Do not do it too often (only 1-2x a week) and go for gentle exfoliation.
- Not Moisturizing
Body moisturizing might sound optional to a lot of people but it definitely should not be. Without it, your body skin loses it’s elasticity and it gets dehydrated. Dry dull skin does not depend on how expensive the other products that you use are.
What you should do?
Moisturize on the daily and ideally it should be after you shower while the skin still has some moisture to lock it in.
- Randomly Buying Body Products
The fastest way to throw money is to just buy any body product you find, especially if it seems trending or looks good. Body products don’t fit every skin. What works for your skin, may not work for yours.
What you should do?
Buy what works for your skin and not the trending products.
- Not Being Consistent
Body care done once in a while will not have any result. Once in a week is not equivalent to every day. Skin needs consistency, not once in a while effort.
What you should do?
Create a routine and stick to it as consistently as possible.
- Rushing
Thinking that you are going to see instant change and you are going to see it now is the biggest mistake. Your skin has to adapt and it will not happen overnight. If you change your products regularly or start over after some time you have a zero change in your skin.
What you should do?
Try your current routine for a few weeks before giving up or changing it.
Body care is not complicated however you need to be careful while going through your body care. Avoid these common mistakes to start seeing changes faster.
Sometimes it is not about doing a bit more…
it is about doing nothing more and stopping the things that are quietly harming your skin from progressing.
